Pharmacy License Requirements
To qualify for a license to own and operate a pharmacy and for the renewal of such license, an applicant shall file an application to the Liberia Pharmacy Board and the board shall also approve the location of said pharmacy; and in the event that the location of a licensed pharmacy is to be changed, the owner shall apply to the Board for inspection of the new location.

The followin guidline shall be met before opening and operating a retail pharmacy store.

* Proprietor shall first identify a pharmacist before obtaining an application form and return completed form at the offices of the Board;
* A team of inspectors will visit site for inspection on location and standards of the shop;
* Thereafter the pharmacist/ proprietor of facility will be invited for approval/denial based on findings from the inspectors;
* If accepted, proprietor shall hire the service of a licensed pharmacist and licensed dispenser for operation at all times;
* The current pharmacy license shall be conspicuously displayed at all times in the pharmac;
* The service name of a licensed pharmacy shall be conspicuously displayed on the exterior of such establishment.

Medicine Store License Requirements
As the Pharmacy Board of Liberia is charged with the responsibility of issuing license to successful retailed pharmaceutical entities, the following minimum guideline shall be met before opening and operating a retail medicine store:

* Proprietor shall first obtain an application form and return completed form at the offices of the Board;
* A team of inspectors will visit site for inspection on location and standards of the shop;
* Thereafter the proprietor of facility will be invited for approval/denial based on findings from the inspectors;
* If accepted, proprietor shall hire the service of a licensed dispenser for operation;
* The current medicine store license shall be conspicuously display at all times in the store;
* The service name of a licensed medicine store shall be conspicuously displayed on the exterior of such establishment.
